Hello all I hope this message finds you well. As we move through June, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.
🔍 Local Priorities Our current focus areas include: Priority 1– Anti-social behaviour and parking concerns in Caldmore Green and surrounding areas. Priority 2– Drug dealing and Anti-Social behaviour issues within Butts Street and surrounding areas. Priority 3 – Speeding vehicles within Town Centre throughout day and evenings. We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.
🤝 Partnership Working We’ve been working closely with: Green square Accord Housing – Visiting various properties linked to Anti-Social behaviour. Trading standards – Conducting Test purchases at various shops in Town Centre. Walsall College – Street watch patrols with Students from Walsall College in Town Centre and surrounding areas. Local Authority- Working alongside Community Protection Team to issue Community Protection Warnings to aggressive beggars in Walsall. These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs. 🧑🤝🧑 Community Involvement Thank you to everyone who’s taken part in: Street Watch- Community volunteers patrolling areas such as Caldmore, Walsall Town Centre and Rushall Hall. Community Speed Watch which was located in Highgate and around the Town Centre. Your involvement makes a real difference. If you’d like to get involved, please reach out!

Round-Up from All Wards Here’s a snapshot of key updates across our patch: Arboretum- x2 bikes which include an e-bike and a dirt bike have been seized due to Anti-Social behaviour in Walsall Arboretum, Officers took part in a knife sweep of the Arboretum offering reassurance to members of the public and park rangers. Walsall Town Centre- Knife found and seized from Walsall Bus Station, this was inline with Operation Sceptre that commenced 18th-24th May, whereby all 43 Police Forces across England and Wales have undergone a week of intensified action and coordinated activities which target knife crime from the root cause right through to enforcement, officers also conducted a Knife Crime awareness input to students from Juniper Training highlighting the issues of knife crime. Street Watch patrols were conducted with volunteers from all three Street Watch groups in St Matthews which include, Caldmore, Rushall Hall and Walsall Town Centre. Officers have took part in various community groups which include, Walsall Centre for the blind- Hatherton Street, St Matthews Church, Black Sisters Collective- Wednesbury Road, Tiny Tots group- Walsall Library, Tantarra Street-Chuckery and Nehemiah Court- Caldmore Residents meetings, whereby officers have offered crime prevention advice and listened to any issues and concerns that members of the public have in relation to the community they live in.
